My daughter got this last year for Christmas. Out of the box the shutter for the window fell off. Also the Laura Carrot star on the top didn't work, I bought new batteries and still it didn't work. This was a big disappointment. It was a really cute idea but it was a piece of junk. I feel that my daughter was robbed. Along with is this we also purchased The Little Drummer Boy set, the donkey's ear feel off. I question if I should by any of the other Veggie Tale play sets in fear of poor quality. We love Veggie Tales its just to bad that this happened. Hopefully they try to improve the quality.

The kids love playing with this set, but the plastic is really brittle and pieces keep breaking; heads, ears, doors... which is a shame as I wanted it to last quite a few chirstmases!!

Adorable Nativity set - but very flimsy. My kids love the angel that sings (very off-key!) and the characters - but the baby Jesus is very small and a choking hazard, the manger looks like it'll break very easily, and the tree and cow didn't make it through the first week! This is a perfect nativity for "Look, but don't touch", but not for hands-on preschool boys.....

Although my daughter is enjoying the Veggie Tales plastic toys, the overall product is subpar at best. The music sounds horrible and is not clear at all. It is difficult to make out the words if you don't know the song. The cow's head has had to be reattached, and continues to come off. This is something that I would have had no problem spending 5-10 dollars for, but as our first VT toy, I am REALLY disappointed.

I've been wanting a fun Nativity set and I'm so glad I found this one! My daughter could hardly wait for me to get it out of the box because she wanted to play with it - not something I'd let her do with those fancy Nativity sets! And what a great way to get to talk to your child about the birth of Jesus. Love the set!

We have had this toy for years, though the song our's plays is "Little Town of Bethlehem" by Laura. Our children love this toy. We do too! My husband has even brought in the gourds dressed as a cow to work one year. His whole office laughed and it was a very informal way to evangelize. this toy is durable and fun. Though i will say that with some very young children it can confuse them because I had one ask if Jesus was a carrot! But that is easily rectified and only applies to the most young.

I think this toy is awsome..my Great Grandson LOVES Veggies Tales and loves the little figures -hes not into the plush figures but loves the little hand held figures. It will be a nice way to teach him about the birth of Christ this Christmas and he can play with it all year. He is 4 years old.
