For the most part, I've really liked the movies I've seen with David AR White (and Kevin Downes) since first seeing "The Moment After" and this movie is no exception. In fact, I thought that "In the Blink of an Eye" was one of his best movies.
I was a little put off the movie by some of the reviews that I read here, afraid that this movie might be shrinking back from declaring the Gospel. But in my opinion, "In the Blink of an Eye" does not hold back on proclaiming the Gospel boldly and directly at all.
I would highly recommend this movie to someone who is searching for the truth as well as to Christians. In fact, I plan on sharing it with Christian friends of mine.
One aspect that I thought was very good was that David AR White's real-life wife, Andrea Logan White, played his wife in the movie. So scenes with kissing were between husband and wife. It reminded me of Kirk Cameron in the Special Features of "Fireproof" saying that they flew his wife (Chelsea Noble) in to the set to do the kissing scenes with Kirk. This way, only a married couple would be kissing. I thought this was fabulous for Christian actors.
I won't repeat what has been said previously in other reviews about the story line. Also, I don't like to write "spoiler-type" reviews, but I will say one thing - so if you haven't seen the movie please don't read any further.
*************SPOILER ALERT!*************
It was very interesting to me that you could tell the passage of time by his appearance in the mirror every morning. Then suddenly, you could also tell that there was a big change on one particular morning. I won't say anymore than that here.

I liked the film and think it would speak to young people who are attracted to rap music and the hip hop industry. It attempts to show the darker side of the music business, without blaming everyone caught up in it. Some are pawns. It shows a clear witness of important Biblical topics (The importance of Israel in our day, accepting Christ sincerely, the imminence of His return). If followed closely, it is clear that (according to the story line) God is mercifully allowing a person to have a similar, but increasingly bad (and violent) dream, to draw him towards a decision of following Christ or his own worldly focus. Caution for some violence, but this is the only type movie some people caught up in the 'street life' would watch. Films like this and 'Hollow' are to reach them, not so much for the 'average' person. More power to Pureflix for reaching out. After viewing, a good Biblical discussion on the topics covered would be recommended.

The topic of the rapture is a mysterious and beyond understanding occurence and somehow it is not depicted with power in the movie. I expected more drama and better acting.

This was almost painful to watch. Every time we thought there would be a resolution, another scene would develop. I wouldn't even GIVE this to someone.

This was a unique angle of the Rapture, as it started over and over, showing different conditions of the characture that was not ready to go. Only until he had a personal relationship with Christ did he go in the Rapture. We should all find ourselves in one of his charactures and if that is not a personal relationship with Christ, it can be changed now. Excellent point to the movie.

I am saved and ready to go if the Rapture should take place. I hope this movie will make anyone who is not prepared to meet the Lordl take heed and be saved.
I showed it to my daughter, her husband and another friend of mine. All of us are saved. We all agree that this is a good film. I thank Christianbooks for having films like this

This movie puts the situation of being left behind right in your life where you live....and this is for the guy on the street or the guy who is upward bound.....especially those who think that those who has the most toys when you die wins.

When stumbling upon In the Blink of An Eye, the very first thing I heard from others and saw from viewing the trailer was the thought: "This movie is like a mix of Groundhog Day and the rapture". Now end times theology is very controversial and risky to talk about/deal with whether concerning a movie, book, or game. Although I am undecided on my stance on how I feel about the rapture (as I need to do more research), I have liked some of those films in the past. However I was a bit disappointed in this particular movie....
In the Blink of An Eye stars David White who has been in various faith-based films like Hidden Secrets and Six: The Mark Unleashed; he was also the director for The Encounter. David (also character name) and his partner Larry (Lonnie Colon) are cops who save a pop star from a kidnapper. David talks his way into a Mexican vacation, on the pop star agent's boat, as a reward for her rescue. David's wife (his wife in real life), and Larry and his wife are invited on this vacation too. Of course for David this isn't just a vacation, since his boss is suspicious of the pop star agent wants David to investigate further. In the middle of their first day on vacation, David is resting on the beach and his wife, his partner, and his partner's wife all suddenly, without explanation, disappear... David also realizes each time he thinks the day is over, it starts over again from the very beginning...
I liked the movie GroundHog day, it's apart of my movie collection, and prior to watching this film I was intrigued Pure Flix was using it as part of the plot; as well as the cover itself looks cool. Excluding the controversial topic of whether the Rapture is real or not, here's the thing: plotwise and theologically I didn't like In the Blink of an Eye very much. I was disappointed the only criminal arrested was the kidnapper at the beginning of the film. Eric Roberts barely received any time in this movie. I also am not a fan of the "Your life will be a lot better once you ask Jesus into your heart" approach to Evangelism, which was said by Lonnie, because it is a misleading statement and has created many false converts. Spiritually the idea is true in that you'll be in Hell without Christ, but on an earthly standard the Christian life is not very rosy at all according to people like Paul. I'm also not a fan of the sinner's prayer, which was uttered by David's wife, because again this is something which has been parroted by many false converts. Though David and his wife, and Eric Roberts were decent, I felt the acting could have been better. And finally I just felt things ended too well in that it was slightly cheesy... I wanted this to be a really good movie, but I just didn't like it.

This is the zillionth movie I think to use the rapture (which is biblically questionable) as a dramatic element in a movie. The film like most PureFlix movies has a limited budget and it shows here more than their others because of how far you can tell they stretched it. The visual style of the film is far too contrasty with some very weird colors that are pushed way too hard. The acting and dialog is pretty bad overall and message wise it has some pretty bad theological problems. I thought nobody could know the "day nor the hour?" yet this film says just the opposite at the end. I wouldn't waste your money on this one.

good for unsaved couples, or if one person is saved and the other is not, film challenges the unbelieving spouse. must concentrate to get the storyline.
