This movie had potential; however, it was not gospel-centered. I do not know why it is sold at CBD since the overall message contradicts the Gospel of Christ. We all need Jesus, but the movie says otherwise.

I was not able to get into this movie at all because of the bad acting and at times I found the movie unrealistic and comical. This is just my opinion but I feel in general Christian movies do not have good actors and the dialogue is not believable. I was shocked to find out it was a true story and feel they could have done a better job portraying his life.

This movie was good for entertainment only. There was no mention of Jesus or salvation at all. I could not share this with someone for help to lead them to Jesus for their salvation. The father seemed to believe that he was a self made man. He did not appear to need the Lord.

I am a Christian who lives in Utah County. Although none of the characters are portrayed as coming from the Mormon/LDS faith, it is a movie that promotes self sufficiency. There is no relying on God for anything. It's about being a good person all by yourself. It really frustrates me that the LDS religion is constantly working to prove that it is just another mainstream Christian denomination. In reality, the Mormons believe they are the ONLY true church. They just don't tell non-Mormons that.

I was fortunate enough to be at the Premier showing of this movie and was so glad I did. I found it to be funny, entertaining, sometimes sad, but always uplifiting. I felt good at the end. It gives you courage to become the person you want to become and to want to make a difference" in the world. I loved the vividness of the cinematography, and the beautiful music. I enjoyed the songs in the movie and it made the story more meaningful. I was caught up in the story from the very beginning because of the dramatic way the writer draws you into the story and the characters! It makes you want to know more. I loved the story of this large, funny family but could relate so much to my own life. A great "must see" movie!
