Customer Reviews for Concordia Publishing House Dying to Live The Power of Forgiveness

Concordia Publishing House Dying to Live The Power of Forgiveness

In our age of religious consumerism, confused theology, and shallow piety, many Christians are searching for something more. The vital, Christ-centered spiritual life cultivated by the Reformation is often overlooked (even in Reformation churches). In this book, Pastor Senkbeil recovers the rich heritage of Reformation spirituality. In the process, he takes the reader on a gripping journey into the depths of the Christian life.

This book surpasses many books that seek to give advice on Christian living. This book deals with Christian life through our death to sin that we receive when we are joined to Christ. In Christ's forgiveness then, we find true life. We live daily by that forgiveness. Senbeil provides incredible insights on looking at our own sinfulness and applying forgiveness through the power of God's Word and Sacraments. Incredible book!
