Charter Crest The Book and the Rose, DVD

When John Barnes finds an old book filled with intriguing margin notes, he writes to the volume's previous owner---and begins an exchange of more than just letters. Set in the 1940s, this timeless parable of choosing and loving is based on a short story by Max Lucado. DVD includes wide- and full-screen film versions and behind-the-scenes interviews. 30 minutes.

My sisters and I watched the film and we applaud to Max for his amazing job in writing a story to remind us that you cant judge a book by its cover, that is why I love when Sarah says, Tell me who you love and Ill tell you who you are. God Bless.

This is a very thought provoking movie. One person who watched it with me said, "I don't know if I would have passed that test." I think it's great.

Although this short story had a moral lesson to it, I was disappointed that it was not Christ centered. I expected more from a film based on a book by Max Lucado. Also, there was one foul word used in the film.

It was a good movie. It was relatively short and taught a good message. My wife really liked it.

A great story....but WHY did they have to throw that one swear word in?
