Vision Video The Easter Promise & The Witness, DVD

Two animated Easter favorites are on one DVD!
In Easter Promise, Jerem dreams of being a soldier for a king. He is thrilled to hear about the upcoming arrival of the true King Jesus. Jerem, however, is fooled by appearances and soon rejects Jesus along with most of Jerusalem. In a wonderful lesson about truth, appearances, and forgiveness, Jerem ultimately trusts in Jesus and witnesses the fulfillment of the greatest promise of all--the resurrection. Running time: 45 minutes.

And in The Witness, For Barrabas, his journey to faith starts with his doubts about Jesus Christ's divinity. Having been spared from death, he arrogantly attends the crucifixion of the man who took his place. His secure unbelief is shattered as he tries to prove to himself that Jesus Christ was a man like any other, and he finally comes to faith in Him. A powerful, animated production, this short film confirms that those who seek, often find more then they were searching for. Running time: 47 minutes.

My daughters loved this movie when they were young. The songs are great and you will catch yourself humming them after you watch it.

I liked these movies when I was a kid... they brought the Easter story to life for me... I agree with the previous reviewer, some parts of the videos may be too frightening for children... but I think kids older than 7 should be ok. There was a little artistic license used for these movies but stayed true to Scriptures nonetheless. a notice is used in the beginning of the witness stating we don't know exactly what happened to Barabbas, but he could have been a witness... it's a good guess he may have been... I really liked these movies. they were given to my sister and I as a gift from our friend's grandmother. Another Easter video I recommend is Nest Entertainments's "He is Risen" and "Worthy Is The Lamb", they are great 30 minute videos for kids to remember the true meaning of Easter...

The story is good and keeps interest but can be a little too graphic for young children.

The Easter Promise is a wonderful way to reach children with the Easter message. I've shown this movie to children 4 and up. It pulls them right into the story and touches their hearts. Very powerful.

As an ex-children's church leader, I would highly recommend the "Easter Promise". I don't know about "The Witness". Easter Promise is a story of a young boy in Jerusalem who is a spectator of Jesus life from Palm Sunday through the resurrection. Good attention holding video for multi-age group class.
