There has been mistakes, spelling changes and even a little mischief along the way. The He/She bible, The "Wicked" bible and a few others. Very interesting read for the bible student about our KJV.

I purchased this book in a book store for the full retail price but it was totally worth it. This was before I was introduced to christianbook.com so I kind of wish I had known about this website before hand. I have been a loyal customer of christianbook.com ever since I found this company. I just can't get over the savings! This book is a great read if you want to know all about the history of the King James Bible. This author also has another book that he wrote before this one which is entitled A Visual History of the English Bible and it is also a great read. The quality of this book is remarkable. Very heavy paper and high quality photography. The pictures just add so much to this book. Just an awesome addition to anyone's library. I enjoyed the book so much that I went out and bought another one, at full retail I might add, to give to my pastor. You can't go wrong with this purchase and WOW what a price! $4.99?? Are you kidding?

Donald Brake is knowledgeable and qualified to deliver a delightful survey of the many aspects of the production of the King James Bible. The publisher of A Visual History of the King James Bible certainly had user friendly in mind when designing the page layouts. There are many call outs and sidebars designed to add more context to each section under discussion. This book is among several books on the same topic in my collection. Thumbs up!

In honor of the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible, I tried my hand at my first video book review. Below, you’ll find a link to my video review of "A Visual History of the King James Bible" by Donald L. Brake. While there are a few audio glitches, the stunning visual beauty of Brake’s book is put on full display.
The book is absolutely stunning, visually; and it's a joy to read. The video review does justice to the book in a way mere words on a screen cannot.
