Lifeway The Beloved Disciple: The Life and Ministry of John, Member Book

Beloved Disciple: The Life and Ministry of John John referred to himself as "the disciple whom Jesus loved." Just as Christ took John on a lifelong journey into the depths of His love, He will do the same for you. The Bridegroom's love is unmatched and inexhaustible, and He is waiting to lavish it on you, His beloved. This 11 week interactive study includes personal, daily, assignments and weekly, video centered group sessions. The personal daily assignments are approximately 3 to 5 pages in length and have plenty of space to answer the questions.

This is a wonderful study on John. It is not specifically on the book of John but of his whole life. He comes to life in this study and we can visualize his perspective better. Beth shares her experiences as well as this is taped in Ephesus for part of the videos as well as the island of Patmos. It was filmed in 2002 I believe. We were using VHS tapes but now it is on DVD.

I just finished this Bible study, which I believe was my fourth Beth Moore study. I think Beth has a gift for handling complex topics. She starts at the beginning, then builds on it piece by piece and detail by detail as she puts the puzzle of the bigger picture together. I never felt lost during this study, but it left me wanting to go deeper into the Book of Revelation.

I am just finishing up with my 3rd Beth Moore series, Beloved Disciple. I really had a hard time with this book, finding what she was asking for in the scriptures. I do not do well with "big" words and maybe that was part of my problem. I felt like I was lost through most of it. I have to either have a good visual or done in story/testimony text. Thanks for listening.
