Please Note: This 19th Century book contains extremely racist descriptions of First Nations and Native Americans; refers to Native peoples in the past tense; and presents the Mystic Massacre as justified. Slavery is only mentioned in a few sentences; while Mormonism is condemned as "a great blot on our land," there is no condemnation of slavery--simply that "men of wealth who first came from Eng-land to A-mer-i-ca had brought their slaves with them, and their sons were brought up to think that they could own slaves, the same as they owned cows or pigs, and could treat them just as they chose."
This book also contains "proofs" now shown to have been proven false archaeologically (e.g. the Newport Rock Tower) and historically (e.g. Columbus' treatment of his colonies).
