I enjoyed watching and listening about Herod The Great and the birth of Jesus The Messiah. Gives you a very interesting view of the birth of Jesus, the Savior of the world, that I didn't have before.

I was very disappointed. The actual content on Christmas was very brief. There was so much more that could have been done. It seemed like it was a sales pitch for the rest of the DVD series. I also thought the price was too high.

While I do agree that the Christmas content is limited, I think it has great possibilities for outreach. My father's walk with the Lord is limited, so a video much longer may not make as much of an impact on him. Also, it is a great video for children who do not have the longest attention spans. It is our family tradition to watch this every Christmas. Of course, I am speaking with a little bias because we love everything that Ray Vander Laan does, and I do think the price is a bit high.

Don't get me wrong, I love Ray and he does a wonderful work but in perspective this was quite the disappointment. I had purchased this to show in a group session as the info said that it was a 52 min presentation. Wrong, it was 18 min's plus two trailers, one for this DVD and one for the "True Easter" DVD which I now suspect is probably the same in terms of length. There is also a free copy of the "Waters of Engiti" which is a session from another volume. Perhaps my expectations are too high but this is not really what was advertised and certainly not what I was hoping for.

I was a disappointed at the minimal time spent on the Christmas story, I was expecting one hour presentation and it turned out to be really short
