This book is loaded with valuable information. It teaches about The Bible and how it was written in order to allow one to better understand it. At the same time you will learn a great deal about literature in general. Whether you want to better understand what The Bible teaches, about The Biblical text or just literature in general this is a good book.

This is a great book to read,it is a wonderful introduction to the world of biblical literature. It opens up the floodgate of wonderful insights into biblical genre, irony satire et al. Ryken has done a wonderful work in this little book. It provides an open profactory to larger works on this subject.
