My first one was metal and the wind broke it. My second was plastic and the wind broke it also. It does seem this one would outlast the other two, but I haven't had it up long enough for a windy test. If you're gonna buy one for sure try this one first because the other two will break in a strong wind.

I like the multy use part of it.It`s user friendly. Being heavyduty. It can take the wind.
