my real complaint is that when I purchased this and the MacArthur study Guide I bought them so i could download to my Kindle Fire and then found out I could not do that. There was so much info on how to purchase a Kindle on the same page that I assumed wrongly I guess I would be able to download onto my Kindle Fire. downloaded them to laptop instead.

This is one of the best commentaries I own. I have been greatly blessed by the insite that Craig Broyles brings to the text. His knowledge of the original language has truly made a huge differance in my understanding of the Psalms. I highly recommend this book for those who want to mediate on His Word (Psalms 1.1-2).

Broyles writes well. This commentary has several important strengths. It comments on each and every Psalm. It has more information on each Psalm than most of the devotional writings on this Biblical book. It also avoids getting bogged down in too much minutia. In other words it is concise enough to be contained within one volume, but detailed enough to lend help where it is most needed. The comments themselves are generally very helpful.
