I have bought a number of commentaries on the Gospel of John. This is my favourite one. It is a technical commentary but I feel it adds the most value for my purchase. In difficult passages it fairly presents all possible interpretations and then defends a favoured interpretation. I highly recommend this commentary. For 1,600 pages this is a steal.
