We really enjoyed this book. Maria and her family went through so much. The Sound of Music is a favorite in our house, so reading the true story behind the characters is a treat.

Though she is not a polished writer, Maria's story is worth telling, there is so much more to her than the movie gives us. This is a fantastic story of a families' faith in God and how they lived out their lives accordingly! Everyone should read it!
