Perhaps the only true rival to Matthew Henry! Charles Spurgeon said, "If I must have only one commentary, and had read Matthew Henry as I have, I do not know but what I should choose Poole. He is a very prudent and judicious commentator ... not so pithy and witty by far as Matthew Henry, but he is perhaps more accurate, less a commentator, and more an expositor."
Volume 2 covers Psalms to Malachi. Commentary is interspersed within the biblical text.

Full Of Widespread Meaning

This volume will satisfy anyone who needs a Reformed research source to consult with their devotions. I would have liked more about the man, Poole, and from which work of his this volume derives.

Print to small for comfortable reading.

No doubt pool is a good commentary, but the print is to small for reading, I would suggest the Publisher reset the type, even if it requires 4 or 5 volums.
