It helped explain some answers and some riddles that did not make sense but it also got you more intrigued and maybe become a little more receptive to questions and different answers by different people and that just helps you with your study of the Bible, I am studying the Chronological and Archeology of the Bible and it helped me with some of the towns and cities names and how they changed and that helps alot when you are confused about where a town or city actually was and they cannot seem to find in in the modern age. You also learn things that you missed and makes you feel that you may not be digging into the Bible and studying it as much as you need to. So I would read it just to see what you missed and then find out why you missed it or just never caught it but remember reading it and not catching the error.

i was looking for the When Critics Ask book to recommend to a friend and i found this almost same as the WCA of Norman Geisler. this is an excellent tool for any students of God's WORD. to give an honest answers not only to those who are criticizing the WORD because of their misunderstanding, but also for honest seekers.

This Big Book of Bible Difficulties offers a more defined and clearer understanding of the many "problem issues" in scripture. Almost all, here, are small scribal mistakes of reading to copying, some of transliteration from the Heb to the Greek and only a few are not fully understood; however, these do not change the intended purposed meaning of the narrative or of the author. It is written for a layman's accessibility for easily understood answers, offerring biblical insight and knowledge to those without and further clarification and assurance for those in doubt. They are answered through scholarly biblical study of (the
culture and language) scripture to scripture agreement and wider elucidation in other passages, the earliest manuscripts and early extra biblical writings closest in eyewitness account of the periods historical and cultural time. The information given comes from overall scholarly agreement as to more accurate meaning in the language of the OT/NT-the Gospels, Paul and some Revelation passages for exegesis, and centrally Christ's message and meaning.

I haven't read that much of the book yet, but what I have read is very impressive. I like the idea of going book by book with critical analyses where needed. Excellent book.

If you have "When Critics Ask" by the same authors, you don't need this tome. These are the same work. This is an extremely scholarly work with lots of great insights on the "supposed" contradictions and difficulties of the Bible.
