The commentary was very shallow in the commenting on the chapters.

As a self-study student of the Word (in particular the Pentateuch) I was surprised at how much insight this book contains. It seems at just about every page there is something new or though provoking. Get this book if you want to learn from one of the best scholars. It is well worth the price. No student of the Old Testament, or entire Bible for that matter, should not have this book missing from their library. It is more than just a commentary. It is a work of art.
