WaterBrook Press Slightly Bad Girls of the Bible: DVD Edition

This DVD version of Slightly Bad Girls of the Bible can be used for either personal or group study. As you read about several women in the Bible who were far from evil yet slightly bad, you'll discover that these ancient women were a lot like us. Liz's novel approach to Bible study combines contemporary fiction with a verse-by-verse commentary. Watch the DVD at home or in church with a few of your "slightly bad girlfriends" and discover that God loves you, flaws and all.

The Slightly Bad Girls tells of Sarai, Hagar, Rebecca, Leah, and Rachel. It is done in the style of Liz, which follows Scripture, but with her twist, making it very entertaining. She shows we, like they, are bad girls in need of our blessed Jesus.
I enjoyed the video very much and knew it would be good after owning her first two, Bad Girls of the Bible and Really Bad Girls of the Bible. So glad I got it!

Liz Curtis Higgs has a way to tell a story that will having you laughing so hard, while at the same time, she sends a message that we can all understand and relate to. It is wonderful to share with friends at home, or maybe a ladies' Bible Study. Laughter is a wonderful thing, and so is seeing the truth in God's Word. Her DVDs give both.

Liz Curtis Higgs is a funny lady who can make you laugh one minute and then make you stop and think about what God is saying. This is a great DVD to introduce women to small group Bible studies. It is effectvie with or without using the workbook.

This DVD is a nice supplement to the study of the book by the same title. While I would have preferred it to be divided up so that it could be show in pieces to intro each new chapter, I was able to figure out where to stop and start the DVD so that we could use it in pieces each week. It would also make a nice introduction to the study. While Liz is not a "powerhouse" speaker, she has a captivating charm and lovely presence that makes you want to hear more from her.

Hilarious, touching, and relevant. We used it before we began the study. It covers a lot of the information in the study, but there is much more so you don't feel like you are just reviewing the video.
