Wasn't able to get into this one immediately, but very soon I was hooked. It was suspenseful and fast paced. It also opened my eyes to a new/additional perspective on Christ's message to us all. Stayed up all night (and I mean ALL night) to finish it.

I liked the authors easy mode of writing, and the surprise at the end of a new concept of thinking about our relationship with God. It is the life within that is important!

The only fault with the book in my opinion was the conclusion. It should have been more open-ended, possibly even allowing for a sequel.

Good read.....a bit hard to get into at the start talking about brain transplants and tapping into the grid - when I didn't know what they were talking about - but once you get it it's a great read and hard to put down. Great price too!

I bought this for my husband and I. He is reading it right now and loving every minute. He says the author is so good at portraying the world without Christianity. How sad it would be without Christ being known. It sounds so good, I can't wait for my turn to read it.

Haven't read all the book as yet but it is a real struggle to keep reading it. Maybe it will get better further into the book but so far I don't care at all for this book. Very disappointed.

Although the story takes place in the future, the social standards and behaviors of the "civilized" world mirror the anti-Christian political rhetoric of today. The story is very thought provoking and definitely an interesting read. I would recommend it.

I couldn't put this novel down. The state of Christianity in the USA is going this route, the true message of the power of Christ and the political correctness pushing sharing the message out of public life. A refreshing story of a missionary in a closed tribe for years working with the Lord to bring the gospel, and learning along the way herself.

Although I wondered just where the Rapture of the church would have been in this book's scenario, I completely enjoyed the storyline. It was well written and had enough explanations of the gospel in it, without being overdone, that I am going to use it as a witnessing tool. I didn't love the ending, but I'll leave that for you to decide. It's still an excellent book as long as you remember that it's fiction.

i really enjoyed this book... i think its the best Christian fiction book i have read since the Narnia books I read as a kid. Very likable characters interesting plot... though I was a bit dissatisfied with the ending ... I think it fell apart a little and didn't tie up all the loose ends but overall it was an excellent book.

If Jesus were to tarry his return, what do you imagine would be happening in the year 2088? David Gregory has a pretty big imagination and it really made me think! With the way technology and knowledge is increasing, can you imagine people being able to visit face-to-face anyplace in the world in a virtual reality world? Can you imagine brain transplants that would enable people to live forever? That's only part of the story in The Last Christian. Now imagine a 34-year-old daughter of missionaries coming out of a remote jungle village in Papau New Guinea into this virtual technological world--trying to save her village from a fatal disease. And Abigail Caldwell is also one of the last Christians in the world. Her grandfather has left her a virtual message which catapults her into trying to be a witness for Christ in this new world. Abigail finds 2 men who respond to her kind spirit and gentle ways and who help her navigate this strange new world.I'm not a big sci-fi fan. So it was hard for me to get into this book. I would read awhile, put it down, and then pick it back up. But towards the last half of the book, I couldn't put it down. That's when David Gregory began preaching his message through this fiction book. And it inspired me! And I do believe it's going to help me live my life differently.I give this book 4 out of 5 stars. Maybe if I were a sci-fi fan, it would be 5 out of 5 stars.

The book starts out a little slow but moves fast and furious into action as you turn each page. The characters are fun and interesting and your trying to up with all the new ones as the scenes move from country to country... See that this is set in 2088 seems unnatural but it has some good points... I enjoyed the authors plot and story line... very enjoyable and worth the time to read...

I'm not going to lie to you, this book was kind of hard for me to get into. But once I stopped putting off reading this book, I read it rather quickly and with great interest in knowing the outcome. This is a great, sci-fi Christian novel that really makes you think and wonder. There were many parts where the characters seem to get into a tangle that they won't be able to get out of...and most of the time they are able to get out of it. While reading this book I was reminded of the fast pace and movement in the movie "National Treasure" while the plots are completely different I felt the movement from one thing to the next was similar. This ended up being a great book and I would recommend it to anyone who loves a different kind of Christian novel. It will have you wondering if you could come back to a country that "has no faith" and lead them to the one true Christ!
