My daughter who is 12 got this book for Christmas and was so excited to start it. She asked if I would read it with her. We read chapter one and she had so many questions and was so ready to begin a new journey in becoming a more Godly woman. She saw herself in the character the author writes about and it opened her eyes to what she needs to change. Good start for 1 chapter. Can't wait to read some more and see what else we both can get out of reading together in our journey to becoming Women after God's own Heart :)

I am currently reading the Purpose Driven Life so while I am reading a chapter a day as the book instructs, my 17 year old daughter is reading a chapter a day in this book, and my 11 year old is reading a chapter in A Girl After God's Own Heart: A Tween Adventure with God also. It's a great daily mommy/daughter reading activity!

Great gift for our 13 year old niece! Can't go wrong with Elizabeth George! I have used her devotionals myself. Her ideas are Bible-based, and very encouraging!

I'm currently using this book with my Sunday school class of teen girls, and it is wonderful! Elizabeth George has a real gift for taking deep spiritual truths and applying them in practical ways to everyday life. Already I can see God working in the hearts of my girls. I recommend this book to anyone wanting to lead teenage girls to a deeper relationship with God.

My 14 yr. old dtr. had this to say about the book "This book was written in excellant taste and I was able to relate to many of the situations the other young girls were going through. It was a valuable and reliable resource and helped shape the way I think when it comes to modesty and boys. Elizabeth George did a wonderful job and I would recommend it to anyone".

What a wonderfully written book for a teen to either read alone or with mom/sibling/friend. My two girls and I are reading this one so that they know that they need to set their boundaries before some one else sets them for my girls.
