The 4th edition of Perspectives continues the quality and tradition of the first three editions. This newly updated volume is a must-read for anyone whom the Lord has challenged with a call to missions, whether it be going, sending, praying, or giving. It is a virtual anthology of articles from authors past and present, including Ralph Winter, Steven Hawthorne, Cameron Townsend, Don Richardson, John Piper, Hudson Taylor, William Carey, and others. The book has four sections: biblical, historical, cultural and strategic. It is suitable for college missions courses and is the main text for the Perspectives course (see perspectives.org) which is recommended for every believer who takes seriously God's mandate to reach the unreached peoples of the world for Christ. I cannot imagine a more comprehensive book on missions or a better place to begin. Highly recommended
