I purchased this pictorial history booklet to go along with the Geneva Bible that I ordered. This litte booklet is a great resource to use along with this and any other Bible version you may have as you set out to learn more about our English translation of the Bible.

Review 2 for A Pictorial History of Our English Bible

I really enjoyed this small, but informative book on early english bible translations. It gives a nice "round" background on the Geneva, Bishop's, Coverdale, Matthew's, Tyndale and King James 1611 (1613, 16-etc revisions) Bibles. It also gives a very small summary on manuscripts. For anyone wanting a general knowledge this is a nice start. For anyone wanting more knowledge you will want something with much more "meat" than this book. I do highly recommend it though for anyone wanting a basic understanding of early english bible translations.
