The problem of abuse is all too prevalent in today's secular society and even in the church. Women in particular suffer from the trauma of physical and mental abuse. Time may bury their pain for a season, but it cannot erase the hurt. Many Christian women suffer from long-standing grief and shame for events over which they had no control. In dealing with this vital matter, Beneth Peters Jones offers comfort from God's Word, "the only effective balm for the kinds of hurts discussed." She writes, "Many pages of real-life examples could be given; my heart's focus, however, is upon you--the Christian woman of whatever age who is struggling right now because of wounded wings."

This is an excellent book for those who have suffered abuse. Mrs. Jones encourages the readers to put the past behind them and to rise above past circumstances in life by God's grace and with His help. I keep copies on hand to pass out to hurting people who pass through our ministry.
