Customer Reviews for Journeyforth Roses on Baker Street

Journeyforth Roses on Baker Street

Stone walls, church bells, roses - and a best friend. These are the things that have meant "home" to Danae all of her life. When Danae's family moves from France to America for a year of furlough, the familiar things of home are suddenly gone. What does Papa mean, she wonders, when he tells her to look for roses here in America? Appropriate for ages 5-9.

This lovely easy reader takes the elementarystudent by the hand to see the view point ofa child of missionaries. Children of militaryparents can relate to Danae relearning theculture in the States and opening her eyesto the blessings in her new home.
