This is an excellent study. My daughter and I are studying it together and it is very well written and the questions are thought provoking for good conversation. It is nice to have the majority of Scripture there in the book.

My small group has been using the John MacArthur Bible Study Guides for about a year now in our own study, and we couldn't be more pleased. The guide itself contains the passage, commentary, discussion questions, and other related passages, pretty much all you need for a good Bible study.

I have completed several MacArthur studies on my own. I mentioned to my women's small group the benefits of these study guides and presented Romans as our next one. The women jumped at the chance to do it. We all really like how Mr MacArthur personalizes the study by asking questions about situations that could happen in your everyday life. The historical context and how he explains certain key phrases are very helpful. I also am benefitting from how he references Old and New Testament to back up the themes in all the studies. Scripture proves Scripture. His studies are excellent.

As a small group leader I have found the John MacArthur guides to be very benificial in engaging members to think deeply about the content of Scripture. The format is great, I really like the way the NKJV passages are included within the chapter of study. This allows for ease of study anywhere and is a teriffic opportunity to compare other versions with the NKJV.

I like the fact that the author adds the supplemental supporting scriptures written out to be studied along with Romans instead of just referencing the scripture to be read.

The only thing I can add to the user reviews is the wonderful fact that MacArthur has archived his audio teachings on this book which thoroughly enhances the lessons covered in it over on Grace to You.

Although our Bible study on Romans is only in its second week, all members like the format of the book. (We just finished the MacArthur study on Daniel). It causes us to think about things not covered in other studies that I've looked at. We like having the scripture right there with key words explained. I would definitely recommend it to others.

Excellent study guide for a small bible study group. Handles difficult passages in Romans very well. Great for new Christians and has enough depth to keep studied Christians fully engaged. Study quide questions are good at bringing out the primary and more detailed points in the scriptures.

This is an excellent study! Each chapter includes the context of the reading, keys to the text, the reading itself along with explanatory notes on the side, very good questions, and an additional reading and questions for deeper study. There are some personal questions and reflections on the text that a group leader could choose to include or omit from the study time, depending on the group. As a group leader I like having this flexibility, and enjoy being able to tailor the lesson for a particular group.

Well-done study book. The only thing I would change would be to ask less personal questions and add more that refer to the study itself. How we apply it to ourselves is important, of course; but since we are doing this in a group with a leader, we look to the leader to ask the application questions.

John MacArthur's study guide on Romans is excellent! I love it,I facilitate a ladies Bible study at my church and the study offers exactly what I think will encourage the women to grow in the knowledge of God's word and apply it to their lives. The study guide is written well and the questions are great and I especially like the verse-by- verse commentary.

This is a GREAT study!! The Scripture is printed directly in the book for convenience, and the major emphasis is digesting the text without an overabundance of superficial questions. It's a deep study of God's Word that's feeding us tremendously. Thanks for carrying John MacArthur's materials. He is a superb teacher! God Bless
