Focus on the Family Radio Broadcast Rescued Horses: Renewed Hope for Kids I-II

In 1995, Troy and Kim Meeder purchased eight acres of land in central Oregon and turned it into a ranch for horses rescued from abuse and neglect. An emotionally troubled girl named Jessica began visiting the ranch, and one day, Kim watched in amazement as Jessica - who would not speak a word to anyone - talked openly to one of the horses. That moment marked the humble beginning of Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch, a ministry that pairs disadvantaged kids with rescued horses for mutual healing. Listen in as the Meeders share moving stories of God's restorative work in broken lives.

From the very beginning of the story where the girl runs off the bus and grabs her horse around the neck it had me. This was me growing up. I so depended on my horse to get me through the rough times. This story is so inspiring and I am so glad there are people out there sharing horses with others. they are so very theraputic.
