This is a daily devotional that gives spiritual perspective to the trials and difficulties of life and encourages one to experience everything as GOD's loving provision of the experiences we need to develop HIS character, be filled with HIS SPIRIT and then reflect HIM to the world. GOD speaks through this book and draws you into the Holy of Holies where HE can minister to you!

This devotional meets my needs. For a book written neatly 100 years ago, it amazing how appropriate it is for today! The physical size of the book is smaller than I expected and the printing is small for my aging eyes. I don't know if there's a large print edition, but if for those of us with dimensioning sight, it would be worth checking. Highly recommend this for a non gender devotional.

I love this devotional. I first used it after my husband of 33 years passed away. It always spoke to me and now I keep extra copies on hand to give to others that need it's comfort.

I gave this to my best friend for Christmas. The item was shipped to me on time and I was pleased with the cost. I paid a little extra for my friend's name to be embossed. That job could have been a little better as some of the letters weren't quite complete. I know my friend is and will enjoy this daily devotional book.

In a time of great sorrow and grief, the Word of God and this devotional were the only comforts. No other books or readings did. For anyone walking in the deepest valley, this devotional mourns with you as you mourn but points you always to the One who holds you. So beautiful and helpful I gave it as a gift to my bereavement counselor.

I love this devotional and plan to buy more...I love to give them away as gifts. Last summer as I went to visit my sister in New Mexico who had cancer I took the soft cover version and she fell in love with it, since then I keep spreading God's love by giving this away as gifts...it has blessed me and others so much...

This book is a must have for those going through a desert time. I was given this book by a friend who had received it after her husband died. When I was feeling like my life had caved in, this book spoke to my inmost parts. With scripture passages, I never felt like my pain was minimized. It honestly and carefully written to encourage you to press on and drink the Living Water. I keep several on hand now and give them to anyone I see hurting. A must have for anyone who loves others!

I keep giving my copy away to people that the Lord puts on my heart. A friend told me about this book several years ago. I have given away about ten copies and now the people I have given it to are telling others about it. I have a friend that grew up as a missionary kid in China and her father used to read to her out of Streams! I have been blessed by this devotional.

The edges of all the pages on all 20 trade paperback books were badly frayed, torn or folded in. I am returning them as soon as I get a return label from CBD. Then I ordered 20 of the same book, Streams in the Desert, but the mass paperback version. Since my wife was taking them to Chad, Africa I had them shipped overnight. They were perfect, and less than half the cost. I was surprised when they suddenly became available. They weren't a couple weeks ago, that's why I had to go with the trade paperback. I was told that they wouldn't be available until Mar. 1.
I don't understand the poor condition of the trade paperback and the excellent quality of the mass paperback at less than half the price.
This is not typical of my experience with CBD. It is normally excellent.
