Zondervan Encouragement: The Key to Caring

Drs. Larry Crabb and Dan Allender have filled this book with practical instruction on how to master the basic form of counseling Christians are called to do, following the New Testament admonition to "encourage one another." It includes step-by-step understanding with a biblical basis that shows the pitfalls to avoid.

This book is solid. Very insightful into what truly motivates people, and the freedom that knowing Christ ought to bring to our lives. This book practically applies scripture in a very challenging way. This book explains a simple, yet deep understanding of people's core needs.

This book powerfully addresses some of the issues to building biblical community. As a pastor I give it to my small group leaders for their growth and development. I've personally found it challenging and inspiring for my own life as well.
