Calvin applies the "sponge" to man-centered religion in this highly polemical discourse on the human will. Like Luther, the sting is deadly and will leave you in hilarity as Calvin, ever so theocentric in understanding, cuts to ribbons arguments that try to give confidence to flesh in the things of God. A must for any seminary student and those sheep of the Lord seeking "green grass" in the valleys of God's providence to truly rest in.
