This volume covers Chapter 3, verse 20 to the end of Chapter 4. In it the preacher moves step by step through the massive reasoning of the Apostle Paul on atonement and justification, yet the detail of the exposition does not stand in the way of a clear view of the whole, and the reader is constantly shown how every section fits into the theme of God's complete plan of salvation. The Epistle to the Romans has a deep significance for the present day, and the sermon form with its direct address to the listener makes each exposition both clear and gripping.

This one of the best books on the Justification by "Faith alone" that I have ever read. Since purchasing many years ago, I have reread it often, especially when a little down, with the joy that it always refreshes and builds. This book is an investment that just keeps giving and giving.

Review 2 for Romans 3:20-4:25: Atonement and Justification

A few years ago my wife, children and I began attending a local church whose pastor teaches expositorily; it has changed my life. Our pastor would often refer to Dr. Lloyd-Jones in his Sunday messages and so I inquired as to the man and his writings. There are some very gifted teachers and preachers in our day and age, but none can be compared to this Welchman, who truly loved the LORD and understood His Word as Lloyd-Jones. For anyone who is seeking to truly understand what Protestant doctrine is meant to be, Scripturally speaking, I would heartily recommend this amazing volume! May God grant you wisdom and understanding and a heart to love Him by loving others.
