As with all MacArthur books it is faithful to the Word in all aspects and gives great insight into the times and challenges of the 1st century church under James' leasdership in Jerusalem. A very easy read and very valuable to the person looking to increase their understanding of scripture.

I was extremely pleased when I first got the book, but grew even more pleased as I studied the context. I highly recommend this book and others in the series for anyone serious about studying the Word of God.

If you want your ears tickled, or to be fed "feel good about yourself" theology, look somewhere else. If you want thorough, honest exposition of what the text of Scripture means, this is an invaluable resource.
