Kevin L. Von Tungeln5 Stars Out Of 5August 7, 2008Kevin L. Von TungelnThis review was written for Splitting Heirs: Giving Your Money and Things to Your Children Without Ruining Their Lives. This book should be required reading for all Christian financial advisors, and especially Christian estate planners. Although I am a board certified specialist in estate planning, I picked so much information from this book that it will radically change how I discuss estate planning with my clients. I am going to be giving away many, many copies of this book to clients and fellow professionals.

Steve B4 Stars Out Of 5Helpful book; relevant to my situationMay 31, 2018Steve BQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4Ron Blue does a good job of looking at your resources as a blessing from God that should not just be handed down to your children and grandchildren without thought. Especially if you have some real wealth to hand down, Blue argues that sometimes just splitting it up equally among your heirs may do more harm than good. He also advocates for using your resources for charitable causes after you are gone. One must have a thought also for how much the IRS will get from your resources.
Even if your resources are limited, this book can be very helpful in thinking through the process of preparing for the inevitable. Everyone needs a will as well as a discussion with your children and grandchildren about what to expect when you pass from this world.
