Anyone called to be a Pastor-Teacher,Elder or to any position of leadership in the Body of Christ should be informed from Scripture of the principles and requirements in this book as stated by John MacArthur. If not inspired, certainly based on Scripture.

This book provides a very comprehensive study on what the church structure & leaders roles should be. It is written as an easy read with tons of scripture to support the authors opinions. A must read for leadership and teachers roles in the church.

Amid all the conflicting ideas and opinions on how the church should be structured (or not) and function, MacArthur has provided a straight-forward, very readable picture right from the pages of Scripture. He does spend some time exposing the false ideas, but he is no more "critical" of them than he should be. He addresses the things that need to be addressed. Are you active in the leadership of your church? You should read this book.
