This is an excellent resource for the seminary student and / or novice pastor who needs to understand exegesis.

The chapters are written in language that is very plain and easy to understand. The author's thoughts are very organized and I appreciate the "summary" included at the end of every chapter.

Throughout the chapters are listed resources to help the student gain a better understanding of the subject matter. This is a real asset to any seminary student (such as myself).

Sound introduction to hermeneutics assuming inerrancy and a gramatical/historical approach. Very clearly written and non-academic in style. Although designed as a college level course text it is easily accessible to the average reader who is serious about learning the subject. Contrary to another review I do not believe any prior training is necessary.

Not for the average person seeking to understand hermeneutics, but a great lesson for those who have prior studies in biblical understanding.
