I actually found this book extremely helpful as a starting point for a small group bible study series I put together on "Serving" and showing God's love to those we meet. No job is unimportant in the church or even in the community. Our words are not the only things that impact those around us. There are things some of us tend to think don't matter that may stop someone from coming through those church doors again. This book is not just for ushers/greeters... there's a message in here for all who attend church.

I purchased Serving as a Church Greeter to use as a guide to build a training session for our ushers, greeters, and to add to our ministry a parking lot ministry. The book was a easy to read, scripture was used in many cases, and has a very logical approach about one of the most important ministries of any church , large or small. The basics are there, you just need to fine tune the information to suit your individual church. I recommend this book to all of those that are serving the front line of greeting of the local church. It will be one of the best $5.99 you will spend.Robert Hendrickson
