Penguin Putnam Inc. At Home in Mitford (large-print edition)

Enter the world of Jan Karon's writing and you'll soon see why everyone yearns to be At Home in Mitford --everyone except Father Tim, the local rector, who suddenly is not entirely sure. A dog the size of a Buick has followed him home and intends to stay there. A hostile boy is left in his care. But on the upside, an attractive new neighbor is stirring feelings he hasn't felt in years.

I am nearly finished with the Mitford Series, and I will cry when it is finished. They are the very best books I have ever enjoyed. I will do the Father Tim series, which I have previewed. The characters in these books have become like family and best friends. I have giggled out loud, laughed and even cried with the people. I will have to re-read them soon, as they add so much pleasure and spiritual blessings to my life! I wish Jan Karon could continue them on and on!! My sincere thanks to her!!

I ordered for my 90-year-old mother-in-law because I knew she would appreciate the values expressed and the humor. Finding good reading for an older person can be very, very difficult. I count the Mitford series as a real winner.
