"So . . . who does the dishes?" Sound familiar?
Today's families are caught in the undertow of a rapidly changing world and struggling to stay afloat. Traditional roles are changing, and uncertainty and lack of structure in modern marriage has wreaked havoc on American homes. Due to our increasingly unstable foundations, our children are feeling disposable, and our relationships have become brutal. At times, it seems as though we have lost all control of our lives. But all is not lost.
In Get Thine House in Order, Dr. Michael A. Brown offers solid teaching on God's design for the home. This sensitive and sensible material will help families of every kind move to greater levels of peace and stability. By examining God's intended roles for marriage and discussing the issues of communication, intimacy, and child rearing, Dr. Brown provides hope in an increasingly troubled society.
Dr. Brown lives in Huntsville, Alabama, where he is employed as a Senior Minister of the Westview Church of Christ and as a Senior System Consultant for NASA-Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville. Dr. Brown is a graduate of Harding Graduate School of Religion. Because of his extensive background in urban ministry, he is sensitive to the unique struggles of building families in troubled communities. Additionally, his thirty-one years of marriage and family life have provided him with the experience necessary to maintain a realistic approach to this subject matter. Dr. Brown and his wife, Linda, have three children.
