My Bible Study class used this as a mid-summer study. The format is very helpful in stimulating group discussion and the content was very relevant.
My only problem is that the rest of the class had the paperback version of the book and I used the e-version. The e-version only has one highlight option for key words which made it difficult for me to use. I would recommend the paperback version instead for group study.

The book needed more life application. The drawing circles, triangles, and clouds around different words of the text did not seem to serve a purpose. Enjoyed the topic; however, the readings and questions were extremely redundant. Our group felt that much of the material was simply filler.

Since I have purchased the books for 2 of my womens groups at the church, I have completed one of the lessons. We were not able to keep it to 40 minutes, which was a feature that was important to us. It was about an hour with allowing minimal commenting and sharing. We felt rushed and some felt a bit overwhelmed. However, great material, relevant and easy to follow.

Our small women's group has completed two of these lessons.
Scripture is along the side and it is the kind of study that has everyone involved. Reading aloud, marking text, good discussion questions. Enjoy the fact that we can do them in an hour or more if we get into a good discussion. no homework required. Very pertinent and relevant to anyone.

The study is short and no homework! That's the great part, the not so great part is the marking the scripture. We found that just highlighting instead of using symbols worked better for our study.
