I purchased this book because I really enjoyed the books about Stranger and about Breanna. It was good to meet these characters again. However, this book did not measure up to the earlier books. It was almost too predictable and simple.

I enjoyed reading this book. I always love the history as well as the romance. I liked that "the Stranger" was always ready to give his testimony and that lives were changed.

This is the first time Ive read a book by Al Lacy, however, it wont be my last. The book had good content, drama and enough suspense to keep the reader guessing. This book is a road map for Christians struggling to live an upright holy Christian life.

The best part about the book was the cover. It was christian based and she did well with that, but otherwise it was one of the worst books I have ever read.

This was a very disappointing book to me. The writing is very simplistic and stilted. It reads like a book for a 12-yr old. Some of the Lacy's book are better written than this one, but this was a real dud.

I like westerns and when read the cover I thought this would be a good book; however, after pages of darlin's and sweethearts and I'll be missin you while I am gone, I threw the book in the corner after the 3rd chapter.

Al and Joanna Lacy are excellent authors. I have ALL of the Stranger and Angel of Mercy series. So when these Return of the Stranger books came out I was so excited. They did not disappoint. These books are great. I personally feel they are not as good as the originally series, but they are good. Stories are along the same format as original books, lots of gospel spreading along with good ol' western action. It just don't get much better than these books. Hope everyone who enjoys christian westerns buy and enjoys.

Typical Lacy from page one on. Jesus is the center of the story and most Christian authors could take a lesson from Lacy on Who it is they are writing for. Great story and tender turn of events with an adoptive daughter.

I have thousands of Christian novels, including hundreds of children books. If you used to like Bernard Palmers - Danny Orlis or similar series, you will like this book. Even Bernard Palmers western Brock series was better than this!!! Having read The Stranger first series, this is a sad continuation. Great for preaching the gospel, but not a flowing, exciting book like the other ones. Hopefully book two will be better...

I love the Stranger Series. The faith and compassion he and his family show to others is truly an act of good Christian character and portrays their faith and love for God. How John never gave up on Whip to get saved, shows how God never gives up on us. Can't wait for book 2 of this series. Thanks for bringing the Stranger back.
