The premise of this book is that everyone is a worshiper. To find out where and what you worship you simply follow the trail of your time, your affection, your energy, your money, and your loyalty. At the end of that trail youll find a throne; and whatever, or whomever, is on that throne is whats of highest value to you. On that throne is what you worship.

Louie goes on to say that when you see people at concerts or sporting events, you can see amazing worship. Ironically I was in Philadelphia reading the section of the book as the Eagles just won their slot at the Super Bowl. There was crazy celebration that poured into the streets with honking and screaming and cheering. Ironically, there was true worship going on outside my window. And helicopters were flying over the streets just to regulate the great celebration.

This is a really short book that you can read quickly but youll want to savor the big thoughts that Louie presents in this book and really internalize what it means to continually praise God. I found that after reading a few pages of this book in the morning I was more conscious of God throughout the day and finding his beauty in the things around me. Worship isnt meant for passive participation, but to wholeheartedly engage you into a deeper relationship with the one who created you.

We were made/created to worship. Period. "That's why you and I are going to spend our lives declaring the worth of something." There is a hole in us that we seek to fill in a number of ways but there is only One way. Through Christ. Take a moment to look around you or think of those in your daily contact group. Each and every one of us, as humans, spend our days worshiping what we love. Whatever you love, you WILL worship.

In The Air I Breathe: Worship As A Way of Life, Giglio reminds us that God reveals himself to us each and every minute of the day if we will only observe. The maker of the universe is right beside you and me, every moment of every day. He made creation to be enjoyed but not worshipped. He gave you the ability to do your job and do it well, but not to worship. Your family, financial resources, health, etc. are all gifts from above but are not meant to be elevated to the highest place in our hearts. Many worldly things are going to battle for your heart. Determine today to allow God to win that battle.

I originally chose this book for my son who has attended several Passion conferences and has loved listening to Louie Giglio. What I found in this book were pointed reminders for myself that weren't all new but a wake-up call about how I am spending my time and resources. The book was easy to read and digest (can be done in a few hours but wouldn't recommend doing so in order to give you time to ponder Giglio's words) and gave me a goal for the new year to allow worship to be my day, not simply a part of my week. As I read, I could almost picture myself standing before God as he asked me questions about all the times I was distracted in my life and my worship proved what was most important to me and I simply lowered my head in shame.

Is what you are worshipping and declaring to be of greatest value going to be worthy in the long run? "Don't waste your worship on a little god."

This is a wonderful little book, I just love reading it in addition to my devotions with the WORD each morning, they go hand in hand in pointing us to the One and Only True God, to worship Him and Him only. Made me stop and evaluate what is worship and what in my life I am worshiping, to change and worship Him and Him only. Thanks - I am enjoying the CD and DVD also.

Pastor Louis gently shows us that we are made to worship - Someone, someone else, or something. We all are made to worship and we all choose Who/what we give our affection to. A must read and ponder book.

This is a must have book on worship. This has really given me a perspective of what God desires and what we also should desire. His presence in our lives should be 24/7. It is an excellent resource for lay people to seminary professors. Everyone should read this book.
