Leafwood Breakfast With Bonheoffer

While poring over the classic writings of Dietrich Bonhoeffer for a book he was writing, Jon Walker found his own world going through a storm of upheaval. Within a short time frame, he was laid off twice, lost his home and savings, was diagnosed with bipolar II disorder, and was served a divorce by his wife days before their twenty-fourth anniversary.

Breakfast with Bonhoeffer reflects Walker's journey during this season, and how God used the writings of Bonhoeffer to rescue him from a struggling faith. If you've ever felt abandoned by God or doubted his plans for your life, Breakfast with Bonhoeffer will help you see that God stays with you step by step, delivering hope and renewal to bring you through difficult times.

A tiring account of the author's hard financial times due to poor planning and bad luck, plus very random accounts from his life, laced with a few insights from Bonhoeffer and (mostly) from the author. All this to make a poorly conceived and executed book about... whatever. This is not the in-depth writing of Dietrich Bonhoeffer. Buy Bonhoeffer's books and avoid this. I couldn't force myself to finish this book.
