Thomas Nelson The Voice of Hebrews: The Mystery of Melchizedek

The Voice is the product of the best minds in the emerging generation of Christian leaders. This retelling of the Book of Hebrews is designed to help postmodern readers understand how Jesus completes the law and prophets. David Capes has written a compelling comparison of the unusual character from Genesis, Melchizedek, and the Liberator found in the New Testament, Jesus. His story is followed by the complete text of Hebrews retold by Greg Garrett. This is the first time the Book of Hebrews has been examined from a postmodern perspective.

An unexpected, but unique "take" on Scripture. Not a scholarly interpretation but one from talented poets, musicians and pastors expressing their view of what the author of Hebrews has written. I found it thought provoking and theological correct, e.g., author suggests the Old Testament would be better named First Testament because it is the beginning of Christ's story and is relevant - not outdated or separate.
