Recorded live and with Andrew Pudewa's humorous style, the Student Writing Intensive course is based upon the principles of the Teaching Writing: Structure and Style course, but is presented directly to students. As a unique complement to the Structure & Style course, parents' understanding of the course will be increased, while students will gain additional insights that will allow them to complete assignments with ease and skill. Four lessons on four DVDs are included, accompanied by suggested assignments for additional practice. Each level presumes no previous experience.

This Level B course is intended for grades 6-8 and can be completed in four days or stretched to approximately 15 weeks depending upon time spent upon assignments. Student materials include reading selections, checklists and other information; pages are reproducible within a family. This Level B Course covers:

My son's weakest subject throughout his elementary school years was Language Arts, especially writing. During his 8th grade year he was home schooled and a strong emphasis was placed on this subject. Using the writing methods presented in Dr. Pudawa's writing intensive, he improved his written communication tremendously! This "class" provides the student who doesn't know where to start when writing with a way to structure their words/thoughts and make them sound well thought out. Dr. Pudawa's checklist is key to making a paragraph come to life and sound interesting. I was VERY pleased with this product/program and highly recommend it! PS. My son has gone from being a B/C English student to an "A" Honors English Student! I know that this course was key to his success!

I only gave this four and a half stars because we are only half way through, but so far this is an excellent program. My daughter had difficulty writing a "research" paper without plagiarizing and using the same tired words over and over. She likes watching the DVDs (says they're funny) and finds it easy to follow the instructions to rewrite these paragraphs herself with "dress-ups"

Child friendly and non-intimidating this is the best writing program ever. Your child will be engaged, entertained and taught with out any stress. Mr. Pudewa makes it easy, fun and rewarding.
