I read the first two books of this series and finally bought the 3rd one plus the series following. These give you a good insight into the woman's world during the industrial revolution. Well writtten, the story line kept me interested while at the same time giving me some historical information.

I think that this is a wonderful book. I love Daughtie, (it's a very unusual name though!), and i love that she didn't care what people thought about her being a friend with an Irishman, or falling in love and marrying one. I love Liam! He sounds like a really good stonemason, and a really amazing person. I love what he's doinf for the slaves. He and Daughtie are such a perfect match! I really like the end, how all of their friends came and supported them. Mintie is really funny. I hate Ruth though, she is so closed - minded and raceist. I don't like Docter Ketter either. He and Ruth were made for each other. This is a must read for people who like romance.

This is a wonderful book! I loved the first book in this series, and while I have not read the second, I am sure I will love it as well. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves to read, and enjoy their books. The story of Daughtie is wonderfully told and very inspirational. I loved the way she is so passionate about what she believes and refuses to back down. And that she is firm in her faith, not about to let it go. And I must repeat my opening statement, this is a wonderful book!
