The author of this book was over the top a bit in her grief and I am the least of the stoacs in my family. I bought one for my sister whose child is the subject of the situation I was seeking help for and she is very stoac. That part of the story did not appeal to her much. I thought it was a bit much too. I did like the book and the fact that it left me hope for my nephew. I think it helped me a bit.

Would not have purchased if I had known up front it was about homosexuality. That should be included in the description as it is deceiving otherwise. Was a waste of my money.

This is a condensed version of one of Barbara's books that I read before, so it made for a good short read. Love her books. It must have been a while since I have read one, as I did not know that she has gone home to be with the Lord.

My brother was recently sentenced to 5 yrs in prison and so I bought this for my mom. She loved it!! I think it really helped her to cope with the pain and the question that I know was in her mind, "Where did I go wrong?". I would recommend this to any hurting mom.

This is a great book for a Godly mom who has just found out her child is gay. The question "How can this happen?" is not really answered, but it provides hope & encouragement for hanging in there with your child and praying like there's no tomorrow. It gave me strength to know that another Christian mom had survived this awful life-changing revelation & Barbara gave me the determination to hold on to Jesus for dear life. She also provides a bit of light humor when I felt like there was none to be found at this point in my life. Honest and hope-filled.
