Houghton-mifflin The Napping House Board Book

One rainy night a granny snores in her bed. A sleepy boy climbs on top her and falls asleep. Then a dog, a cat, and a little mouse crawl on top and they sleep happily. But then a tiny flea bites the mouse and causes everyone to wake up. Recommended for ages 4 and under.

I first read this book to my son when he was around two years old. I kept reading it until he was old enough to read it himself. He and I both loved the book. It was very comforting when he was sick or when it was cold or rainy outside. It made us both feel warm and cozy. My son is 32 years-old now, and we still text lines from this book to each other, especially when his daughter is taking a nap or if I notice all three of my cats are lying close together fast asleep. He has been reading The Napping House to his daughter since she was about a year old. She is 3 now. My son Van and I both highly recommend this book.

What a useless book. Although smaller kids may learn something about order from the narration, I'd never read this to my child.
