The Lord is doing some serious work in me and this book was the "kick start" I needed to dig deep and deal with some issues from my past. Barbara has a very easy step-by-step process for dealing with past bonds and does it in a very encouraging way. I can't wait to finish the book and see how it changes my marriage!

Kiss Me Again by Barbara Wilson is a book I will recommend. But because of the delicate subject matter, I will be careful when I recommend this book. This is not a light read. Some of the stories shared in the book are heartbreaking.The interesting thing about this book is that it serves its readers well in different ways. It provides factual information at the same time it provides emotional support to those who need healing in this area. It can be an intensely personal book while it can serve as a resource about this important subject. In my copy of the book, I have earmarked for later use these segments: * the Biblical perspective about sex including a list of six reasons God gave us sex. * a list of talking points to use when talking to your kids about sex. discussion about the damage done by todays hooking-up culture. * the study guide at the back of the book with life-building scripture references.But mostly, this is a book about healing for women and restoration for marriages. It confronts wrong choices made and bad stuff that happens and the way those events impact our view of sex. It exposes lies to the light and encourages growth. Mostly it offers hope. And that makes this book worth picking up.

If you would like to strengthen your marriage, if you would like to be more intimate with your husband this is the book for you. As I read these pages I felt that this book was written just for me. I believe any woman or man can relate to the words on these pages by Barbara Wilson. There is hope in restoring lost intimacy between you and your husband. Many times things are not the way we hoped they would be and we begin to blame ourselves, we carry our past with us into our marriage. Barbara teaches us that we cannot move into the future until we have healing from our pasts. In this book Barbara shares a ten week study, that you can share with a small group, just a friend, your husband, or you alone can read these pages and find healing. In order for us to have healing we must face our brokeness, and through this book Barbara shows us just how God designed us to be intimate with our husband and she goes through stages of letting go of our past, and the methods in which we can not only heal from our past, but strengthen our marriage, and have a closer relationship with Christ. Barbara shares scripture, she uses the word of God to bring healing. Many times we are wanting our marriage to change, to be better, and to share on a deeper level, but we don't know where to begin, or how we got to the place where we are now. Through each page Barbara opens up our wounds, shows us where healing has to begin and takes us on a journey that will go from our past to a greater future in our marriage. This book blessed me and taught me many things I did not know or understand, but Barbara speaks to us with words that we can understand, and with no judgement, she walks us through from her own experiences and those of other women. If you are looking for a way to strengthen your marriage, and bring the intimacy back that was there in the beginning and is now gone, this is the book for you. If you are going through some intimate marriage struggles this book just might be for you. Barbara addressses premarital sex on several different levels. She also addresses non-concentual sex before marriage as an problem in a good marital relationship. All the steps for freeing yourself from your past experiences with sex through God are well explained in this book. Learn how to have an intimate bond again might be what you need.

Is it the desire of your heart to enjoy lovemaking rather than endure it? Barbara Wilson's book will help you to see that casual sex before marriage can ruin the kind of intimacy God meant for romantic sex to have in marriage. She explains how we gain a false sense of intimacy. This book could be the thing to lead you toward healing, wholeness and freedom. The good news is with God's help there is healing from your past. Not only can He heal anything, but He wants to give healing and will if you you'll allow Him to. Surrendering to Him is the hardest part of the process. God is the one who breaks the sexual bonds of the past and heals us so we can rebond with our spouse.She'll help you delight in a deeper sexual relationship with your spouse. This book is directed to the female, however, the male can benefit from it as well. In reading it he'll gain insight into what is actually going on in the female's thought process. The brain is the most important sex organ there is. Sex from the past can and will haunt you here in the present with negative impact. The worst lie about sex anyone can believe is: "Sex before marriage won't ruin sex in marriage." Sex was designed to unite the souls and bodies of husband and wife. Kiss Me Again by Barbara Wilson is much more than just another Christian guide to improving married couples' sex life. I've read several of these books before, and while they are good, none get to the root of the problem. Wilson focuses on why many women have trouble enjoying sex within marriage, even if they did before marriage. Our culture's encouragement of premarital sex has robbed the act of its beauty and place in the marriage bed. Wilson uses science and Scripture to make her point. Women create bonds with every man they have sex with, and those bonds will continue to haunt her, even long after those relationships have ended. I was looking forward to reading this book, but I had no idea the impact it would have on me. It forced me to reconsider previous relationships and in doing so, allowed me to offer forgiveness to those I felt had hurt me. It brought me to tears several nights while reading, but I can feel the healing that God is doing inside of me, because of Wilson's writing. For any women who is struggling with this issue in her marriage, I can't recommend this book enough. It's one of the rare books that can truly change your life.
