Next to the 23rd Psalm, perhaps the most beloved and certainly the best-known passage in Scripture is the Lord's prayer. The profound, eternal concepts compressed into its few, concise phrases shine with enduring brilliance. But despite its brevity, it has been an enormous benefit to many. In this book W. Phillip Keller, author of A Shepherd Looks at Psalm 23, shares what The Lord's Prayer means to him.

Review 1 for A Layman Looks at the Lord's Prayer - eBook
This is my second Keller book. The first, "...23rd Psalm," and now this one. I can't begin to express the sensations I have experienced, the blessings, nor the deep areas of my heart that were touched. Each time I pick it up to continue reading I always need a tissue box nearby. I am almost finished reading now, but I couldn't resist sharing what I have received from this dear, little book so far. I am thankful to God for those writers that have a deep sense of expression which provides a greater understanding of the significance of His Holy Word.

We have had a good response to A Layman Looks at the Lord's Prayer during our adult Sunday School class. Many say they say the prayer differently and more thoughtfully. This is the third Phillip Keller book we have used and each one has been a blessing! Ronald Ramsey

WOW! If only Christ's church truly understood this prayer as Phillip Keller does, His sheep would have no problem obeying Romans 12:1-2. We would race to lay down our lives as our 'Spiritual' service of worship because we would know, with understanding & by experiencing, our Holy God!
