I was disappointed that this entire book was not written by MacArthur. I didn't read the fine print under his name on the cover. The chapter on homosexuality is irrelevant. The author doesn't allude to any data he may have used for his comments. It seems to be based on his opinion alone; seemingly without the input of any gay people whatsoever.

Review 2 for Right Thinking in a World Gone Wrong: A Biblical Response to Today's Most Controversial Issues - eBook
This is a good book for those looking for some quick answers. Not a great deal of depth, but excellent generally. I would disagree, however, with MacArthur's strong attitudes toward homosexuals. He says that their feelings are a sin. I would agree that acting out is a sin, and feelings need to be dealt with. But just as a person lusts for anything, is that a sin in itself? We have to fight against these, but thoughts come unbidden. Ex. Jesus in the wilderness.

John MaCArthur is one of my favorite authors. I have also been listening to his preachings and teachings for 20 years. I trust anything that he writes because he has proven himself a right-thinking, bible-based Christian. This book is one that I will share with as many people as possible because of its solid biblical worldview.

Review 7 for Right Thinking in a World Gone Wrong: A Biblical Response to Today's Most Controversial Issues - eBook
I'm not even half way through this book, and I can't put it down! Everything I read, I'm saying, "Yes, Lord!" "Thank you John Macarthur!" This book is for young, old, male, female, married, single and everyone in between. I think every beleiver should read this book. I love how after each argument for or against something, Dr. Macarthur gives you the reference for where to find it in the scripture. It's not just a book of his opinions on these things; the answers are found in God's Holy Word.

Review 8 for Right Thinking in a World Gone Wrong: A Biblical Response to Today's Most Controversial Issues - eBook
This book is one of the best that I have read on the problems in society today. Everything covered is backed by scripture and what it actually means to us today. I would recommend to anybody to read this very closely. The main part is written by John MacArthur and the other parts are written by ministers who have gone through some of things that they write about. Great Book.

Review 17 for Right Thinking in a World Gone Wrong: A Biblical Response to Today's Most Controversial Issues - eBook
As a contributor to this book, I am admittedly biased. But I thought a few remarks might prove useful to anyone considering it. First, this book is unique in that it addresses a wide range of contemporary issues in a practical fashion from a biblical (and pastoral) perspective. It is not just another ethics textbook (nor was it ever intended to be). Rather, it was written by our pastoral staff with the intent being to show how biblical principles apply to the issues that Christians face everyday. The book is born out of real-world ministry experience, as we attempted to apply biblical principles to real life. Second, the book is intended to be a concise treatment of the topics addressed. Full books could be written on many of the topics we addressed. Our goal was not to do that, but rather to give a succinct and hands-on treatment of each of the issues. As a result, topics like abortion, euthanasia, birth control, homosexuality, global warming, illegal immigration and the like are addressed in a concise manner. In this way, the book serves as somewhat of a handbook on the issues. Our church's hope (in putting this book together) was that it would be a practical resource for pastors and lay-people alike, as they seek to exalt Christ by exhibiting "right thinking in a world gone wrong."
